Every Namibian knows that August and December are high season when it comes to weddings, and the long Heroes’ Day weekend is especially popular. This year I used the end of August for a trip to the North, mainly to take photos at Ndapewa and Ferdinand’s wedding (I also had a commercial shoot at the Ondangwa Airport and another one at the Ongwediva Trade Fair).
The beautiful wedding ceremony took place at Nakambale Church in Olukonda, the oldest church in the North of Namibia. It was founded by Finnish missionary Martti Rautanen in 1870. The church with its clay floor and walls has a very unique atmosphere, and it was the second time I was shooting a wedding there.
Ok, enough education, have a look at some photos!
